I have been looking for a set of MGC disc wheel hubs for my MGA V8 conversion. It seems that MGC hubs, particularily for the solid wheels, are as rare as a honest politician and expensive. Digging around in literature and the internet, there are a couple of non-MGB hubs which are supposed to fit the MGB stub axle with no, or minimal modifications. (I need one with the Chevy bolt circle.) The ones I have run across were Porsche 911/944, Nissan 300Z non-turbo and '68 - 72 Chevelle Unfortunately, most of this info is third and fouth hand and suspect. Does anyone know of hubs which would work? (For sure!)

Kurt,

Call our long lost MGV8 buddy, Werner Van Clapdurp. He uses Porche rotors.

Kurt, take a look at the specs of the front end that Arthur donated to the Roadmaster project from his Cobra kit. It uses a 5 lug hub that I think is what you're looking for. I'm sure either Jim or Arthur can tell you what they are.

Kurt, that would be the Chevelle hub you mentioned. It is modified by boring the race seat deeper to match the MG, not a particularly difficult job. Although most parts suppliers have converted to one piece hub and rotor assemblies, I understand there is a performance supplier selling individual hubs and rotors.

Check with Bill Guzman (www.classicconversionseng.com).  He sells hubs for the MGB that you can do in any bolt pattern you want.
