T-5 Performance

I planning on installing a T-5 from a 1987 I-ROC Z-28 (5.0) into a 1972 Nova (5.7 300 hp) Will the T-5 handle the HP?

All transmissions are rated for input torque not HP - a T5 from a '87 (305cid) IROC was probably rated at 265 ft-lb (but correct spec can be Googled).
