Do Isky lifters work with a Crower cam?

I know it is best to get the lifters for the cam but when I purchased the set up from Kurt he had a set of Iskenderian Valve lifters part # 212-HY for the Olds/ Buick v8 aluminum engine application according to the included sheet.  But on the box it says not for use with steel or hardface cams.  Remember I am new to this, but aren't all of them steel or hardfaced?  I have an email into Isky but thought I would see what you guys thought.  These lifters are different than any of my sources have seen, as they have 3 holes in them instead of the normal.  Anyone used these before?  Thanks!!

What else would a cam be? That's weird. I don't think you need to get lifters from the same manufacturer. I'm using a custom grind and TA Performance lifters...

You should be fine.  Flat tappet cams are generally iron, not steel.
Steel cores are generally reserved for roller cams or special race
solid flat tappets.  Hardfacing is used on certain race solid lifter
cams and  require require chilled iron lifters (heat treated by pouring
molten alloy into a mold with a chilled bottom plate).

Thanks Dan, I believe I am going to try it.  I spoke to Ron Iskederian today and got the scoop on the lifters themselves.  They were manufactured for them by a company called Eaton something and eventually they changed their process.  The 3 holes for oiling were a marketing gimic back in the day but the lifters are very well made with a better style clip at the top to hold the piston and spring in.  He did mention since they were a bit on the older side that I might want to soak them in Acetone then plunge it out with the drill press and a rod, then over nite them in some transmission fluid to lubricate them again before using to them to insure there was no chatter which happens when the lifters sit for a few years.

A close friend of mine had a man come into his shop and take apart a crower lifter and it was full of junky insides from somewhere im not sure of.  Thats the way I got the story. The guy said they are not good.Im using isky anti pump up

I'm running Eaton lifters in my 4.6 with a Crane 218 cam and they seem fine. I'm in the process of screwing together another 4.6 for my Land Rover Discovery and will be using a Crower 50229 cam also with Eaton lifters.
