Title: Chico British car show! The Marcos Mantis XP
Post by: 74ls1tr6 on April 30, 2009, 12:57:31 AM
Talked with the owner for about 45 minutes and handed him a "How it was done sheet" for BV8.org. Curtis...I hope he turns it in.

This car has magnesium wheels that will oxidiz (SP) in one day, so he will polish them every few days. He said that someone was going to bring him their brewed up formula to the show for him... so it would help with the oxidation. The Marcos weight is about 1440 lbs. It has gas tank's on each side of the car that can be ran down anyway you want. One side at a time or both the same time. The trasmission was installed a few days before the show. It is an Olds 215 engine.

The alternator was driven off the direct drive differential,...you can see the pully setup at the rear of the car.
