Aaargh! I should've posted this earlier... but somehow it snuck up on me.
The VDCA (Vintage Drivers Club of America) is holding the second race of its 2009 schedule this weekend at Virginia International Raceway near Danville Virginia.

MGB GT V8's (like Les Gonda's) will probably be running in the Group 8 qualifying race at 3:30pm Saturday, plus there's a one hour enduro race at 9:50am Sunday, and then the big Group 8 feature race will be at 2:00pm Sunday. More details and a complete schedule are here: http://www.vintagedrive.com
