Yesterday I had to get out in the Austin. Summer's almost gone. So I went to a local car show put on by the Western NY MG club. Good guys and a well run show. Probably 50% Brit cars, 20% other foreign, and the rest U.S. This show has been going on a long time, and back 45 years ago (yeah I'm that old) it was pretty stuffy. Not so much anymore. I was in the Sprite/Midget class and there's the Austin with a V6 crammed into it sitting with about a dozen well preserved/restored Spridgets, and it got voted best of its class. I guess the tweed hat suede leather elbow patch pipe smoking sit around quaffing snifters of Hennessey after a chukker of polo guys got outvoted. There was also a guy there (Jake from Watkins Glen) who had a gorgeous 348 stroker powered B in the chrome bumper B class. In solidarity with BV8s I voted for him.
Nice!
