Title: buick 215 dual quad intake manifold

Does anyone have any info on these intake manifolds?  Who made them?  aftermarket?  or GM experimental?  I don't see a part number on it anywhere (other than the water fittings).  So that makes me think it is not GM experimental as those parts typically have a cast in part number that either starts with an X or an X nearby the part number.

How much are these going for?

"If you build it, they won't come".  IF you have a 215 revving to 9k., might be useful ? Otherwise, make manifold spacers to put on a 340" Buick V8. Likely a better result.

According to D&D (Mark LaGrou) it's a GM intake.  I had one, along with a pair of the 215 race heads that GM developed for Mickey Thompson's 1962 Indy racer and for Lance Reventlow's Scarab road racer. Neither the heads nor intake carried a GM part number.  My intake was polished so I thought maybe the numbers had been ground off but I've since seen a couple unpolished ones that also did not have a part number.  I compared the casting to Buick, Offenhauser, Edelbrock and Rover and it matches the Buick most closely.  If you flip it upside down, you'll see the 2x4 barrel and Buick 215 4 barrel intake flanges match identically.  Note that Holley carbs don't fit, only Carter AFB/AVS will fit.  Carter 9400 or 9410 400 CFM carbs would be the best match.  Oddly, I've not seen any period race car that used the 2x4 barrel intake manifold.  The majority ran mechanical injection or Webers on a down draft or cross ram style manifold.
