Front straight axle with about 400lbs, static corner weight. Urethane bushing at axle end, {compliance}. Spring is inverted for better rising-rate and ro[l-caster gain, as an upper, leading link. Question is, mounting diagonally, to handle lateral loads ? Not likely to exceed 1G lateral. Using metal lower leading link. Anti-roll bar may attach to ether link. Second design is "pickle fork", with roller bearing mounted on real side of axle,( slides up/down in slot). Thoughts ? Thanks, Art.

To Curtis, thanks for answering. No skill to upload sketch, but this is the Rover V16, all aluminum roadster, cept' f-glass body.
Entire drive train is stress-mounted which makes 1/8" wall aluminum frame, workable. Since aluminum engine girdle direct receives
. input load from quarted-eliptic monoleaf, loads are acceptable. About 1.5" squash and 2,5"dangle, travel , at wheel, should be
enough( straight axle).

Front straight axle and leaf springs sounds like pre-war stuff, or a truck. The guys that make "cyclekarts" (HF predator motor, Honda 90 bike tires, homemade chassis...) are big into the pre-war examples for their half-size "replicas". The site is at least a decent repository of example cars/chassis/suspensions that aren't difficult to copy.
