Title: Rover / Buick 215 3D Model
Post by: v8mgb on September 15, 2021, 02:36:49 PM
I stumbled across this Rover / Buick 215 model.  Working to 3D print the major components. There are some nice cut away views.

Yeah that's what I was wanting to do out of metal in full sized, using the wirefeed machine.

It looks real, he surely did a job well done creating a 3D model of it.

Looks real, but would like to see a better view of the motor mount bosses on the block.  Bought a tricked out 215 some years ago thinking it would be plug and play swap with my tired 3.5 L in one of my actual Rover saloons.  Found the bosses for mount so different no one wanted to attempt a fabrication.  Took the good stuff and just rebuilt the original 3.5L.  Heres the car as sits today...

Which bosses, Jim?  The ones on the heads?

The motor mounts are the same.  The alternator has to be hung differently.  Pretty easy on the 215.
