Title: RIP Tom Schnerk
Post by: HealeyRick on March 18, 2021, 08:48:40 AM
I wanted to pass on word of the passing of Nasty Boy Austin-Healey owner Tom Schnerk on August 23, 2020, which I learned about through a message posted by his daughter on his Facebook page yesterday.  Tom was an original '50s engine-swapper who stuffed a big block Olds into a Healey 100.  That car showed a lot of engineering genius and he was really, really proud of it:  http://www.britishv8.org/Other/TomSchnerk.htm  You'll be missed, Tom.

Built in 1954.
Restored in 2000.

Quiet a thing to be restoring your own car. Great that he had so many years of pleasure from it.
