Title: Looking for Gregg Haskell
Post by: Keith on January 10, 2009, 11:26:17 AM
According to the writeup on his car (http://www.britishv8.org/MG/GreggHaskell.htm), he had his hood louvered in Denver. I can't find the company. Anyone have either his contact information or the info for "Just Louvers" in Denver?

Yeah, finding places that can stamp louvers isn't easy, is it Keith.  I've been looking for somewhere in the Houston area & only have one lead -- no name or phone number, just directions to the "shop" that I wrote down from a guy at a local car show -- but can't find the place so am guessing they're not there any more.

It's always a guy who knows a guy who's heard of a guy who can do it...

I found the louver guy in my town to stamp the hood for my Seven (the little car at left), but he punched them unevenly and facing the wrong direction. I had to make another hood. So I'm not going back to him for the MG.

Most quality street rod shops should have a louver press or they are not really a rod shop!  ;)

Used to be that way, but they're getting harder & harder to find.
