As title, when do you need 5 stud rear hubs? thanks

Ford generally fitted 5 lug wheels to the V8 cars I believe. Up to about 300 you should be OK with 4.

Thanks for the reply, can the MGB hubs be drilled out to take 5 studs?

No, If you do a search there are alternative hubs.
