Title: Mid-engined Spit.
Post by: 88v8 on August 25, 2018, 04:20:36 AM
He had a dream.
Then it collided with reality.
Now, this mid-engined Spitfire with 3.5 Honda V6, just needs some finishing touches, little details like the axles, springs, and the usual rust.
But it will be, or would be, unique.

Here it is on BF, accompanied by the usual positive comments

So if you have short legs and are already deaf, it's in Pennsylvania, just waiting for you.

You can actually get conversion kits to hook these engines up to Mazda Miata transmissions and stuff them into Mazda Miatas.
A guy could get the kit and a Miata transmission and go to work with a frontwheel drive Honda V6 converted to RWD.
This guy went about it the wrong way.
How many times have we seen these half baked projects that that never come to fruition.
Poor planning and design leads to unfinished disasters.

Cheers

Shoot no problem, just get centrifugal clutch off the crank and belt drive to the left rear wheel then viscous axle to the right rear wheel. Then a Bose noise canceling head set.
