I'm new to this board. I just acquired the 1969 Triumph TR6 that Russ Grantham converted to an SVO Ford 2.3 Turbo.

We haven't made any decisions yet. Just got it today, and my husband has been having fun all afternoon with it. We traded a GMC truck that had a very expensive lift kit and 40" tires for this. We are debating about getting a hard top for it, or if we should just replace the soft top. We live in Arizona, near Sedona, but it does get hot and cold, snows maybe once or twice a year.

Got tired of being a mountain goat to get into the truck, and exiting a car wreck to get out of the Europa. But would buy either one back in a heart beat!
I'd go for a nice soft top and maybe a bikini top for the hot days. Park it for the snow and live happily ever after.
What ever you decide it will be tons of fun.

If the heater is working OK, the soft-top is pretty cosy.

A Breezebreaker behind the seats keeps the wind from wrapping round and blowing your hair into your eyes. Not sure the original Breeze Breaker is still being made for the TR6, but Moss have options. Highly recommended, improves comfort beyond all expectations.

We really should communicate. I too, have an SVO 2.3 turbo in a TR6. I've read the original description of the build on your car here and it is apparently producing about 300 hp. I don't have any idea where my engine is. However, the head has not been worked on and it is my understanding that is a HUGE thing to do. I am planning on it. My engine does have a Ranger roller cam and an isuzo NPR intercooler but is otherwise stock. I too, have a T5 transmission. The gearing on the NOS rear end isn't bad but Good Parts has a Nissan rear end that is much stronger and is like LSD. I plan to get it. Notice that my right inner fender had to be modified to allow the engine to be mounted. However, my hood is NOS. No changes were needed to the hood.

My car pictured above had the Goodparts LSD conversion with the Nissan R200 diff.. I do indeed recommend it.
While installing, you should look very carefully at the diff mounts on the original frame as they are prone to cracking. There are strengthening kits available that box the mounts, fiddly job that needs a competent welder.
Might already have been done when your car was modified.
