Title: Bananarama's Spitfire 327 targa
Post by: 88v8 on May 27, 2017, 10:05:23 AM
Restoration required.
Bit rusty.
Built in the 70s.
Has a transaxle. You can be pretty sure it's the world's only Spitfire V8 with a transaxle.
It has a, errrm, unique, look.
What on earth is that radiator.......... and what's that on the right side of the firewall - power steering??
Anyway, never mind all that. It runs and drives.
Plus it's cheap.
And one has to appreciate the mutant banana exhaust manifold

Do you dare to be different?

Lot more detail on the build. One has to give the builder an A for effort and ingenuity.

Thought I'd save a couple of pics

The rad is at the rear, the a/c rad is at the front.

Edit - seems to have sold for $4150.
