Can someone, who has fitted this conversion tell me if it makes a real difference on a road car.A brake manufacturer over here ( England) does not think so.
Although he has not done one for our Triumph TR5/6. I do like improving my TR5 and the rear disc conversion appeals to me.
I have fitted four pot callipers,vented disc's,bigger stub axle kit,power steering (hydraulic), EFI fuel injection amongst other creature comforts.
So is the rear disc conversion worth doing??

Depends what you're after. Most of your braking comes from the front brakes. If you aren't racing or doing extended periods of spirited driving, you aren't likely to be experiencing brake fade on the rear - especially with your upgraded front brakes. If you are autocrossing you might lose a few pounds with the swap, not sure.
Not all mods are done for performance though. If you like the cool factor or being different, go for it.
Also, usually pads are easier to replace than shoes so if you do a lot of miles that can be a factor.
