I have a 1977 MGB into which I intend to put an Olds 215. I want to convert to fuel injection and have collected the parts from a Rover engine at the local Pic-a-Part. I also would like to use an MSD ignition and have all the parts (distributor, Digital 6AL box, Blaster Coil, etc) to retrofit that into the engine. I am now at the point where I am collecting the stuff for the EFI controller and would like to use a Megasquirt system. For a while I was leaning toward the MS-3, but I read somewhere that MSD does not support sequential fuel injection, so I am wondering if it would just be better (cheaper) just to buy an MS-2, since it will be controlling only fuel and will not have to do sequential fuel injection. Any thoughts?
Also, I have purchased the D and D bellhousing for my project. Is there a list of T-5 transmissions that marry up to this bellhousing? I know the 1996 Camaro V-6 T-5 doesn't... now. :)
I have searched and read through the forums and have not seen these topics addressed, so I though I would ask them. If I missed something, I apologize for the redundancy.

Would the simple answer not be to us MS for both FI and Ignition? I bet a MS-2 with Ignition will outperform anything you can get out of MSD box.

Having had both MS2 and MS3, I can tell you that it's worth the upgrade to MS3 for the faster processor and higher definition VE table alone. With MS3 you can tune your VE table to .10% while MS2 will only tune to 1%. Where this is most advantageous is tuning the idle and the low load part throttle drivability bins.
Unless your dead set on using the MSD box, probably the best ignition set up would be to go with either EDIS or some type of coil on plug system as Mike suggested. Then you would be able to have a 3D ignition timing table to work with right at your laptop!

The T5 you need is 88-92 Camaro/Firebird V8. Check the tags some have .63 OD, some .73 OD.
Thank you all for your posts. You are probably right about the MSD box. I am a newbie at this, and started collecting parts before I had a good conception of what I wanted to do. Probably the wrong answer... I guess it is a good thing I have an ebay account.
