Title: Spot The V8
Post by: Oldbloke on October 14, 2014, 12:14:28 AM
Took the old beauty for a run with my all brit club last Saturday thru the Redwoods of NorCal. 140+/- run tested my rebuilt tranny/waterpump/radiator.  Car ran cool and smooth old V8 kept up very well with the uppity MGs.  A hesitation with carbon blow suggests a fouled plug or vacuum leak at the dizzy.  Doesn't like full throttle on the expressway.  Will explore the prob later.  Have sourced a rebuilt 215  with EFI from one of the regulars here who needs "more power" as my winter project!  Gad!  Would love to have this old beauty in shape to try for Indianapolis and the 2015 V8 meet.
