Werner,  Is everything greased up? A lot of guys do the caster wedges. There is an electric power steering unit that is spliced in under the dash and uses the stock rack. MR2 has a remote electric pump you can mount anywhere and use a Miata power rack like some of the more recent Cobra's. Do you have real wide tires in front? I thought about the Dodge Intepid center steer rack that is used in aftermarket swaps that never had power steering. David Townsend used the Dodge Omni rear steer rack on a mounting bracket. Do a search here and on Mgexperience board.

I've never found the B's steering to be heavy.  Are you sure everything is in good repair?
