You should find a new Google "search box" at the top of EVERY page of our website and message board.
It's supposed to fit neatly in the space above the "Contact" menu/button.
Since it's tough for me to test all the different system/browser/monitor combinations, can I rely on you to tell me if it looks okay on your screen?
The box looks good, the one below that maybe says SEARCH is not complete. it is not readable. it only sows about 1/3 or the upper part.
i use Mozilla FIrefox.
Looks ok to me. Search button looks more like a box with outline on right & bottom than a true "button", but it's pretty obvious what it is. Using Win XP & IE 6.0.29 SP2.
Looks fine to me.
Using Safari V. 3.1.2
-BMC.
Okay, I think I've improved one thing... changing the default for submit buttons on the message board from "1 pixel wide dotted" to "2 pixel wide offset". (Now I need to update the main website to match.)
I'm still trying to get the size of the text box right. I think it messes up in some browsers when the user is using an increased text size (instead of leaving it at the default/standard).
I think it looks GREAT! Intergrated very well, I didn't even notice it until you pointed it out, but it fits perfectly and works well. I am using Safari also.
The good news is I figured out how to get Google to integrate search results from BOTH the main website AND the message board. (That's a little tricky because they're hosted on two different servers.)
What isn't simple is getting "submit" buttons to look the same on Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer. On Safari, the buttons are small, gray and oval - nice. (Only the size is easy to change.) On Firefox, the buttons are medium-sized, yellow, and rectangular. (It's easy to change the size, color and border in Firefox - but not the shape.) IE on the other hand... what a lousy browser!

If the Google search button isn't at least appearing to the RIGHT of the text box, PLEASE let me know!!!
