Title: 100/4 with V6 conversion
Post by: BenB on August 12, 2008, 09:05:00 PM
My '56 100/4 Healey with a GM 2.8l V6 is nearly complete, but I'd love some suggestions on the best way to set up the motor mounts so they don't interfer with the crazy 90' oil filter adapter or the exhaust manifolds.  I'd be open to using block-hugger headers and an alternative oil filter configuration.  Also, if anyone has done this swap on a Healey or MG, what works well for mounting the alternator?  Did you use an aftermarket serpentine kit?
Thanks for the suggestions & if anyone is in the Chicago area, I'd love to meet up sometime!

Ben, have you finished your car? Looks like a super project!

Ben, I'm surprised that you didn't receive more response. I missed your post when it first came out. For motor mounts, headers, and accessory drive information I'd contact BMC Autos http://www.bmcautos.com/   Brian has parts that although designed for the MGB would make your installation very neat and clean and clear up some of your interference problems.
