Title: Headliner
Post by: pspeaks on January 28, 2014, 10:40:47 AM
First I want you guys to be proud of me for posting on the proper forum for a change :-)  When I last restored my GT in 1987,  I covered the original hard panel with vinyl but it is now sagging and not reusable.  What suggestions do you have?  I was also thinking of a layer of dynamat.

Paul,

You could shoot some Lizard skin sound and ceramic heat control up there. I will be doing this with our GT. It doesn't need to be on there very thick either. Just a thought! As far as headliner ours seems to be ok, so don't need to redo it, unless Brenda wants a different color which wouldn't surprise me.

Moss has them for $529.95 which is in my opinion toooooooo much.  I'll give it a bit of thought then make one myself.  Thanks for the idea Calvin.

Just a quick note Paul.
Don't use dynamat, or any other similar product for that matter, on your roof.
It won't stay in place for long in the kind of weather that most of us get.
Calvin's idea is much better for overhead use.
Cheers
