Title: Air starter? Home cast intake manifolds? On an Olds 215?
Post by: Moderator on January 18, 2014, 01:58:46 PM
I don't usually announce How It Was Done articles in this engine-and-drivetrain forum, but Howard Fitzcharles' article is special. Too many innovations to list here. Enjoy the article!

Just amazing. A tour de force.
It should end up in a museum.
Although I'd be a bit concerned when driving it... what if I stalled at the lights....

Article says he has an onboard compressor & reserve tank so I doubt restarting away from home is an issue.  Would love to see/hear it start in person... BV8 meet is a ways away, maybe a YouTube video?
