Title: Chrome Bumper Conversion
Post by: jbarila on July 28, 2008, 02:40:04 PM
I have tried to buy the rear conversion brackets with no luck. Does any one have them drawn out so I can fabricate them?
They look pretty easy to make I'm surprised no one has posted a drawing before.
Thanks!
JB

can't help you with dimensios, but should be easy enough to make if you have the bumper off & have a chrome bumper.  Make a template out of cardboard.  Use the existing holes where the rubber bumper mounted to mark those two holes, then line up the bumper & mark tha hole.  The bend just needs to be enough to make the tabs that extend past there be parallel w/each other.

John,

The May-August 2001 issue of the British V8 Newsletter has an article, including a dimensional drawing, for these. If you don't have a copy, I can scan it for you and send it as a JPG.

Dan,
I don't have that issue. Would you mind scanning the drawing?
Thanks,
JB
