Title: Big electric fans
Post by: roverman on January 18, 2013, 04:12:21 PM
So if they have enough airflow, will the car speed-up ? What section does this go in ? Taurus is 4,500 cfm, maybe (2) mounted in front of rear mounted radiator ? Fan Car ?  "They laughed at Foulton too".  roverman.

I haven't been well lately,
But that one made me laugh hard enough for The Lovely Lynne to come running in.
Cheers
Fred
And thanks Art
I needed that.

Was it Hot Rod that ran a story about using garden blowers in a car a few years back ? They actually measured some amount of boost ... Well not probably the most compact package but boost is boost !

The Cat: I say let's get into the jet-powered rocket pants and Junior Birdman the hell out of here.

Kryten: An excellent and inventive suggestion, sir, with just two tiny drawbacks. A, We don't have any jet-powered rocket pants. And B, There's no such thing as jet-powered rocket pants outside the fictional serial "Robbie Rocket Pants".

The Cat: Well, that's put a crimp on an otherwise d*mn fine plan.

Personally I think that being able to drive across the ceiling is a helluva plan.

"drive across the ceiling"...been there/done that , MIB in a Ford "Galaxy" ?  stellar car with amazing handling, for a Ford. We're 13 years into the 21st century, where's all the goodies we were promised ?  George Jetson is nowhere to be found ! zzzzzz roverman.
