Here's one for Triumph enthusiasts! Half race car and half show car, the TR250K never had a prayer of winning its class at Sebring nor being adapted for mass production. Was it a success? Its creators correctly identified "the shape of things to come" (i.e. the wedge) ~6 years before Triumph's famous ad program for the TR7 and about ten years before "the shape of things that win" (the TR8).

Boy does that bring back memories. I remember how cool that car looked on the cover of Car and Driver. That doesn't seem to be the original color as I remember it. Thanks for the story, Curtis.

Rick, It looks, in the display, like someone stepped on the sidepipes ? I understand Pete Brock's frustration. I also feel the Cobra Daytona Coupe, is a very attractive car. American and British car companies have paid big $'s for graceful designs, that were never given a chance in the market place, for what ever reasons. It seems at times , these were built, just to tease us ? What a pity. roverman.

This is a beautiful designed and well maintained piece of Triumph automotive racing history. I compete against Tony Garmey regularly here in the PNW with SOVREN. He's one hell of a driver and even a better wrench when it comes to car preparation. I first saw Tony at the Maryhill Hillclimb in this car and was amazed with his control as he drifted through every corner.
