I spent the free time I had the last two weekends trying to figure out what I'd messed up on my headlights. I disconnected the headlight wiring when I was working on the radiator angle to fit the Volvo fan. When I re-wired them the low beams weren't working. I probably spent 10 hours trying to figure out what I'd done wrong. Tracing continuity and voltage told me I wasn't getting the right signal on the relay trigger coil but sub consciously I think I just kept discounting that because I was convinced the problem was the wiring I'd messed with. Well, finally went back to the column connector and then the switch... sure enough, my switch wasn't making contact in the low beam position. Tweaked the contact spring with some little needle nose pliers and they're working right now. What a waste of time!
Yeah, but you persevered & got it!
Glad you got it fixed, I often waste time chasing my tail before finding the correct corse.
Good find Rob, course I've never had any trouble chasing my tail because it's so fat its hard to mss :-)

A smart old mechanic told me one time to always check the simplest thing first. Dont get too complicated until you have to.Tim
