The engine bay of the 2500 TC is basically the same as the Stag which came with its own V8 that is sometimes replaced with a Rover V8.

If I remember correctly, the battery tray is moved between the 2500 and the Stag. Also when a Rover V8 is fitted people often add a bonnet bulge to clear the carbs if the use the standard twin carb arrangement. Using an MGB GT V8 manifold should avoid the need for a bulge but these days you may be going EFI instead. A standard Rover EFI plenum probably needs a bulge.

This chap could answer all your questions.

Or, if the car still isn't sold, you could buy it and convert to a left hooker?
