Title: Toyota calipers
Post by: triumphtr2 on October 03, 2012, 09:09:33 PM
I'm interested in doing the Toyota 4Runner caliper anf Cressida rotor conversion on the TR3 I'm working on.The conversion on the site uses 88 4runner calipers. I've found some 99 4runner calipers but they have a different part # so I'm wondering if they are different enough from the 88;s  that they are not usable. Does anyone know?Tim

You can order remanufactured calipers for an 88 4Runner from RockAuto:  http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

99 have thicker rotors. There are two different Toyota calipers, one with  small and large pistons and one with all large pistons(finned). 4X4  4 cyl. pickups had the smaller ones V6 4X4 pickups and FourRunners had the larger ones.My earlier threads on this board shows pictures of both.
