Title: Adjustable spring pan DIY
Post by: RobertE on July 03, 2012, 01:26:03 AM
Anyone make their own adjustable spring pans? Could you provide some insight?

I know Mike Zappa's racecar has them ( http://www.britishracecar.com/MichaelZappa-MG-MGB.htm )

Not sure the best way to go about it and if its possible to use the stock style springs?

Thanks

As I recall, Chris Zappa told me those adjuster mechanisms came from Allstar Performance.

It might be possible to use the stock style springs, but I expect I'd probably end up with Eibachs or Hypercoils. They're not really expensive, and in the popular diameters you can choose all sorts of spring rates and lengths.

Made some for my Midget. Different design pan than used on a B but the design would be adaptable.
