Post by: Migge on February 15, 2012, 12:29:25 PM
Has anybody used one of those on a Rover?

Nifty. I didn't know anyone made a distributor like that for 215.

Might want to check hood clearance before committing to a purchase.
Title: Re: Accel Dizzy, shorten ?

If you have skilled access to a lathe, shortening of the body and shaft is usually a viable option. As example, I modded a V8 amc unit to fit 215/Rover V8. "If" the shaft sizes are identical,(many US engines are .500"),this makes relocating the correct drive gear, in correct new location possible, after drilling a new drive pin hole.  Shortening the "body" is more involved. Billet is usually easier. Welding "may" be required.  Good Luck, roverman.
