Title: Aerowing extrusions ?

You know-miniturized wing section ? Up to say 2" front to back. Hot-wired structural foam, extruded plastic or aluminum ? Looking for maximum lift to drag ratio. Need to function with hi chord angle change,(articulated). I'm alluding to use as grille work that adds downforce. Thanks, roverman.

Art, not a true air foil, but should give some downforce depending on the angle it's mouted. As usual more angle more downforce and more drag, it's always a trade off. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/mepages/struttube.php

That's similar to what I used as supports for my wing. Also, check out the model aircraft suppliers. I'm pretty sure you can buy leading and trailing wing edges and they should be about the right size for your application.

Art, I think you're wasting your time/energy etc. on that one , a front air dam will produce more downforce easier
like Dave Townsend did on his B(check his posts).

Dave, take a look at the drawing of what Art is planning, http://forum.britishv8.org/read.php?4,26082,page=1  the radiator will be in the rear between the tail lights. The aero effect he wants would add downforce in the rear, hopefully making a higher mounted wing unnecessary.
Don't know of anyone with a front air dam to fit a Jensen Healey do you?

Clan, Huffaker and Delta both do. I will run "somethig" on the front, including perhaps an air inlet to oil cooler and brakes,(former turnsignal surrounds). Cheers, roverman.

Rear rad, good idea,how are you ducting air in to the engine compartment /rad??
BTW; we did an scca f-prod jensen healy body kit  for a customer he ended up  broke from the stock market and
I ended up with the moulds, they were pretty radical for a production car(pushing the rules). Unfortunately I have no pictures of the completed model but if you're interested I'll take shots of the tooling.

Art, I found some pics(Iknew I had some!)fender models are done and we were developing the front air dam assy,
rear wheel arch development, as you can see our plan was to allow the pumping air from the tires to exit out the rear of the fenders, from the side the wheel arch appeared the same as the stock wheel arch, the fenders covering 120degrees of the tire from the top.

Or Dave....maybe (2) sets ? Nose of car will be very similar to David Townsends' "photoshop".I'm not sure the engine needs air, just coolant. The hood will get hot air exits as needed, "maybe" a Hemi "shaker", oem. scoop/ backwards ? Air to rear radiator= "Kamback"/low pressure area, powerful fans, belly pan and "maybe" diffusers to air inlet. How much track width over stock ? Fred, I'm thinkin-your scheemin for a 32 valve JH ?? Jensen Healey's are kind of the "Edsels" of this forum. Let's change that ! Cheers, roverman.
