I agree with you Rick. I love the site and the selection of obscure cars, but the comments section is typically 90% assinine or blind assumptions.
I see all the expert fools popped up there with their "only good in a straight line... it will be 900% heavier, it won't brake, it won't handle... blah blah blah...." comments.
It's never ceases to amaze me how much people are "followers" when it comes to cars. One guy pipes up then the whole tree is howling with monkeys.
As to this car, I think it was very tastefully done. I can't see anything to complain about really.. and I'm a Ford guy. It would be cool if the current owner put up a "how I did it" article.
Speaking of, I need to get to work on mine...

The BaT editors don't write much... they just select and recite a few points from car ads. Never critical. Who can tell if they really know anything? Of course car ads vary hugely in detail and accuracy. This particular MGB V8 was on Craigslist... so as usual, just four small photos to judge it by, right? How could anyone possibly judge if it's a nice conversion or a hobbled-together mess?
Imagine if BritishV8 let anyone-at-all comment anonymously at the bottom of How It Was Done articles. Would that improve this website? It would certainly drive up our "hit" count and thus our Google Adsense revenue.
