Title: A look underneath an LS1-powered GT
Post by: Keith on January 04, 2011, 12:31:40 PM
Here's how the LS1 and T56 fit under the car. I've never really down a rundown on the build on this forum when I think about it - any interest? Hopefully Curtis will be interested in doing a feature when the bodywork's done.

Other than the alignment a few weeks ago, this is the first time the car's been on a lift! Definitely not a bead-blasted rotisserie build. That would have been nice...

Keith,

That is an incredible bottom view !

Please add some build photos and body shots.

I would love to see the top view of the engine compartment.

Fantastic effort.  Must be years of work.

Keep them on the track,

Would we like to see more?  Does a pig have a pork ass?

You bet we do.

We want to see it at the V8 meet in Townsend in May.

Okay, I'm gonna have to remember the "pork ass" line, that's good! Dan, I have a bunch of high-rez photos of your car on my hard drive (Curtis might have shared a little bit) and it was a lot of help. You'll recognize the rear end design and some of the reinforcements, for example. So, thank you for documenting that car so well.

I'll start another thread with the full build.
