302/t5 can i use stock master cyl and pedal which hyd sys is most popular to use one $50 other $150 want to use best option thanks barry
Hi Barry, I have the stock MC and an external push type slave from a Toyota truck. Simple bracket and a couple of holes through existing tabs on the tranny. Don't have my notes with me to remember the year range but it must be a pretty common part. Was only about $20 as I recall. Also, bleed valve points up so easy to bleed. I got the info from Joe Shafer if memory serves.
Rob's solution is preferable over a HTOB setup. HTOB's are expensive, more prone to setup & overtravel issues and failure and require pulling the xsmn to repair when they do fail.
A 3/4" bore slave with the std 3/4" bore MGB master makes a suitable installation.

I used the stock master cylinder with a push type slave cylinder, with my 302/t5.
