Title: 6ft tall and a GT6?
Post by: s1b on October 10, 2010, 08:29:45 AM
I posted this on the V8 pub, just thought the Triumph forum would be a better place.
I'm looking at Triumph GT6s. The thing is though I'm 6ft tall, not sure how well I'll fit in one. Does anyone have any idea how well a 6ft person would fit in one?
Curtis pointed out to me he is 6'2 and it was a little tight. Is there anyone else around 6ft who could give their experience.

I've sat in a friends GT6 and it is a bit tight, but managable and I'm 6'4". He's a bit heavier than me but around 6'2" tall and clears the top pretty well. They are small cars but I'm suire you could find a seat position where you would be comfortable, either with the stock seats or an aftermarket version.

Thanks for the response Bill. I have sat in the roadster before. It was fine. My thought is the GT6 top being problem. I'm stuck on having one though!

I'm 5 foot 11 and 200 lbs and I fit fine.  The seat needs to be back almost all the way, in my car it doesn't go back all the way because of the cage, but close enough, clearance to the roof shouldn't be a problem though.  Clearance to the pedals is maybe a bit more tricky but should be fine, a smaller diameter steering wheel helps this as well.
Enjoy!
