Title: Confused on throttle linkage
Post by: motek on September 16, 2010, 11:35:54 PM
I'm confused on how to run a throttle cable to my 4 barrel Edelbrock on a 302. My carb looks like this:

Should I buy a kit like this?

or this?

I'm installing a new pedal too so everything is new.

Thanks,

George

Personally I'd go with the second one and fab up a bracket that comes off of the rear bolt with a stop to keep it from twitsting around on you.
The first one seems to have alot of extra unneeded hardware for the money.

Just my $.02

Std MGB cable can be made to work by shortening it to match your setup. Typically, there is an anchor brkt that attaches to the left rear carb mounting bolt. Here's my throttle cable setup.

I used a Speedway pedal, a Lokar cable and a bracket I fabbed. Thanks for the advice.
