Title: RV8 front cross member
Post by: kmcrae on January 08, 2010, 02:45:58 PM
Has anybody used an RV8 front axle on a MGB? If so was this a straight swap or are there any hidden pitfalls?

It's been done... Although I don't have good photos, I've ridden with Todd Budde in his very potent MGB GT which has a complete RV8 front suspension, complete with the big RV8 brakes.  You can see the rest of his car here:  http://www.britishv8.org/MG/ToddBudde.htm

Todd sometimes posts on this message board, but he's also easily contacted here:

Todd Budde seems to be a natural for engineering quality components.  Very talented individual.

First person that I heard of installing an RV8 crossmember to a B many years ago was Ian Pender.
