Everybody,
I would be very obliged if someone in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area would take a look at a Buick 215 conversion I'm thinking of buying. I'm in Washington DC, and it's hard for me to get there myself to look.
I'd be happy to pay your mileage and your time if you'd do me the favor of looking over this car for me. I'd prefer someone who actually knows about V8 conversions and knows what to look for, instead of just hiring a car appraiser service.
Please PM me and let me know if you can help. Thanks and have a good Christmas and New Year's!
If you don't get someone else to look sooner, let me know. I'll be in the big D this weekend & depending on what part of the city its in I could probably go have a look for you.
Mark Trosper in McKinney and Wayne Kube in Plano both have V8's and have been part of the MGB fraternity for a long time.
You can find their user ID's in the photo gallery and send a PM
Let me know if you need contact info for Trosper or Kube.
I have it, and I'm certain that they would be happy to assist you.
Thanks for the suggestions!
James, I live in the Dallas area and work in McKinney at AeroCountry Airport. I'm new to V8 conversions and the others would surely be more knowledgeable but if they can't for some reason let me know and I'll take a look at it. "P"
James, isn't this an amazing group?
James -
I'm back home in Plano after a weekend at the deer lease. Be glad to take a look at the car. D/FW is a big area - can you narrow down the location a bit?

This really is a great group. Thanks to everyone!
Wayne, and everyone else, the car is in Aledo. If you're still willing to examine it, I'll send you the owner's information via PM.
A big thank you to Wayne Kube for going to look at the car, and to Graham and Rick for suggesting him. It was a big help. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
