Title: Stag Rear Disc Brake Conversion
Post by: staggered on December 12, 2009, 12:26:28 PM
Hi.  Has anyone out there had any luck manufacturing or copying a " rear disc brake conversion " for a stag? If you have could you please publish details and we can compare details with my conversion.

Staggered, there are a number of Stags running around in the UK with an E30 BMW 3-series rear end... I presume this includes disc brakes.

I understand the Ford Sierra set up is quite a popular conversion on the Stag but to be honest I think it looks a bit
of an afterthought. My first choice was an early Datsun 280ZX with 4 stud wheels, the diff, drive shafts and brakes
all look fairly easy to adapt to the Stag. The whole rear end layout on the early Datsun 160/180Bs were more or less a copy of the Triumph 2000/Stag layout which were later used on the Z cars.

I used a kit from monarch stags in the UK.

Its a ford set up.

works nice with their BMW servo up grade.
