Title: Engine number
Post by: coolmg on October 22, 2009, 01:26:50 PM
I've got an Olds engine and would like some information o,  yes I did a search and found the engine number listing on this web site.  Problem is when I cross checked my numbers from the tab on the right side of the block none of the numbers show up.  So I was wondering if anyone would have an obscure listing that might match mine, they are as follows:
EX6742 and under that is JM547
Thanks Mark

I also have an Olds engine and had the same experience of not finding an accurate cross-reference for my engine numbers.

We should get Mike, the Wiz, Barnes to post his engine numbers, too.

How is your engine configured? Mine is a 4bbl with the 534 high compression heads, power steering, lightweight flywheel and three speed transmission. Odd that it would have a lightweight flywheel and power steering. Numbers on the engine; S201046G on pass. side head, JN335 pass. side block, CFD PM4 347044 on side of block near clutch lever.

Mike's had the same 534 high compression heads as mine, and a lightweight flywheel.
