I just joined the forum! This place is great. For the past few months I've been working on a 1984 jaguar series III lt1 conversion; it has turned out great! But I'd like to try my hand at a triumph tr6 with an LT1. I noticed Ken's pix, and they immediately caught my eye. I used a 4l60e on my jag, but a t56 would be really cool in the tr6, possibly out of a camaro. How are the TR6 mount pads modified to accommodate the lt1 engine? For the jag I purchased some mount adapters for the transmission and engine which bolted straight in. I'm guessing it is a different story for the tr6, judging from the photos.
Does anyone have any hints or plans in constructing some of these mounts? Are Dan Master's ford mounts for the 5.0 usable?
Any help would be much appreciated. There's a good conversion candidate in Northridge that I am probably going to pick up this weekend.

I don't have any tips that are specific to LT1's or TR6's... but I'd really like to see photos of your Jaguar!

Specificaly, I could refer you to these two photos. This is what I came up with according to the space I was left with. You might have to make the mount removable to facilitate taking the transmission out.

the pictures of your transmission mount are very clear; it looks similar to how the Jaguar mount adapted to the 4l60e; I would assume no matter what i'd have the mounts be removeable, correct? Did you physically weld new posts to the frame and then bolted the 350 engine mounts (the rubber ones, standard GM motor mounts) to the posts? Or did you fabricate some engine mount adapters that bolted to the frame?
I will post some pics of the jag; my new airfilter element has yet to arrive, so its just the stock throttle body atm.

To get an engine/transmission assembly out of any car, let alone a LBC, the whole unit has to be tilted way down at the back. Depending on the application, only if you could move the unit far forward first before tilting would you get away with a non-removable transmission mount.
You asked about the motor mounts. Material was welded to the frame and the GM pads were bolted to that using the one long 7/16" bolt I believe it is, on each side. Photos:
