After a long hiatus I am back working on my TR6.  I complete the frame to accept an LS using a Mustang II suspension that I narrowed 5.5 inches. I need to install a R&P that is narrow proportion to new length of my front suspension.  Exactly 5.5 inches. I have contacted a bunch of machine shops here in Austin but no one has or does this type of work.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could send my rack and pinion or where I could buy a R&P that will work with my modified suspension?

Fatman and Flaming River sell shortened racks and can shorten yours. Or you could find a shorter rack from a small car.
Or do your own:

I read the stream from the yellowbullet website.  If i understand this correctly, they detached the right side of the R&P by unscrewing the pivot housing attached to the arm and they cut down (shorten) the housing correct? That is how I see it as well.  My problem is I cant find anyone to machine (lathe) the shaft.

I will give a shout to FR to see if they can help me.

thanks
