Is anyone running an Accusump on a Rover V8?  From reading their options, they don't have an electric valve that will operate at the low pressure these engines make.

  Got specifics ? Why would solenoid/electric valve care about low/high pressure ?   Art.

Maybe it's my understanding of how these work that is the issue.  As a pre-oiler, the type or pressure of the valve is irrelevant.  If used to prevent oil starvation during cornering, it seems to me that the low RPM oil pressure would allow the Accusump to bleed off pressure and might empty the cannister.  This would leave the system unable to pressurize the oil passages in times of need.  Is this incorrect?  My first engine had extremely low pressure, 5 lbs at idle up to about 30 lbs maximum.  My 1800 B motor makes 50 lbs at idle with hot oil.

How about to take care about the pickup of the pump, rising the pump pressure, baffling of the oil pan?
That would help more.
Or switch over to a dry sump system as my car has.
60psi pressure at speed, 40psi at idle.

An accusump can be helpful... provided you remember to open the valve. (and to close it before switching off the motor) This can be an automatic function, at least the first part can. But have you noticed that the 1/4 million mile engines in new cars don't need them? something to think about.

While assembling my new engine I discovered a possible cause of my extremely low oil pressure on the original engine. The high pressure relief valve seemed to have a burr in the bore. One the valve opened, the spring pressure wasn't strong enough to fully seat the plunger. I cleaned up the burr in the bore with rolled sandpaper on a drill and now the plunger moves in and out smoothly and seats as it should. Pre oiling the engine using a drill looked good, nice flow up to the heads, no leaks anywhere. I hope to have it back in the car this weekend, so I'll report back on pressure at idle and revs.
