JEMRestorations

I'm a body man. 45 years in the body shop business. I've restored some beautiful and expensive cars.

( watch a Oscar winning chick flick from 2015 ' Carol' . One of the main characters drives a green 47 Packard convertible, that in reality used to be President Eisenhower's personal car, used mostly at Camp David..

I did a full restoration on it ,well.. Body only, as the mechanics there are done by a Brilliant & famous mechanic known world wide only as 'OZ', who is also mechanic for Dago Red...

I did it for the Packard Museum in Dayton Ohio, who owns the car and loaned it, post Resto, for the production of the movie.)

So... a good friend of mine, a florist, was telling me about a guy he knew who had an MGB in his garage, that was last driven in 1999.
This MGB was owned by His Husband who, sadly, passed away. The remaining spouse never drove the car, as he never has driven a standard shift.
So I went over to look at it and found it in brilliant condition, Parked for 19 years in a heated garage. Virtually no rust at all on it anywhere one little spot right front wheel well about the size of a quarter that's it 65,000 miles.. beautiful car..
I made an offer, it was accepted..
And now,
It does have nicks, scratches and dings, so it'll get a complete body work over... and I believe I know where there's an alumium 215 Buick V8..
So here's my winter project. look for installments as we finish up each stage..
