Below is the list of cars that have Fail-Safe Electric Power Steering columns, this means that  Only 3 wire connection. Ignition On, Power and Ground to the Steering ECU. That's it ! These units will run in limp mode, which is a power assist that is more than enough to supply power steering to the light weight of our little hot rods, and if there is a full failure revert back to your original manual steering

I'm looking at the 2009 -2013 Toyota Corolla unit, I can't remember where I saw it but there was a picture of one next to a 16 oz beer can and they were about the same size. This unit seems to take up the least amount of under dash room. It also seems to be the most available and runs between $80 and $200 on ebay

AKA: Bruno Box. We've installed two of these GPS units and one of the originals with good results and have also done one 'bare' install with no module and did not find it necessary to adjust the midrange although I'm not positive, Dan may have adjusted his in his TR7. The bare install ends up with a delay of a second or so before the boost comes on but otherwise is a great improvement. The Bruno box gets rid of the delay and I think the GPS one is more immediate than the non-GPS. Typically the antenna is adhered to the panel between the windshield and the dashboard.

One characteristic of the upgrade to EPS is that you lose most of the MG's characteristic steering return-to-center due to the resistance of the gears and drive motor and if this is a greatly desired trait some of it can be gotten back by increasing camber and/or installing roller thrust bearings in the kingpins. Eventually I expect to get back to work on a kingpin/timken conversion but probably not this year.
