Ok, so the Jensen Healey was designed with small block V8 potential fitment, (but then the oil embargo hit). This could have been the "Interceptors", lil' brother.  Flash forward bout' 4 decades and viola, I'm gathering the pieces to make it happen. 907 Lotus engine, aside, Jensen seemed keen on using Chrysler/Europe parts, when viable. Hence a 340 Mopar V8, r154 Turbo Supra box and  Mazda II Turbo rear. I'm trying for a retro era look and build. WAG. of weight 2,300-2,400 lbs ? This "should" keep granpa awake, time will tell.   Cheers, roverman.

I really wanna see this, Art.  That 340 motor was a real little screamer in the AAR Cuda!  Should be real cool with those body mods David Townsend drew up.  Now get to work.

Should have some Crane roller rockers around here some where as well.
If you really want to "get after it" I've squirreled away enough stuff for a 750 horse 511 inch 440 stroker.
Funny, I just realized that if you do 440 In caps you get $$).
Seems fitting.

Easy Boys.... This ain't no Hemi Healey !  That would be Healey #2-sub paragraph 6.1L. Jackal to get "rabbit" flares,(help with the starts).  Using ported "Eddy" heads, steel crank/etc.. Would like max power 6,500-7k ?  Hyd. roller ?  4:10's, a Gleason and a r154, should provide just-e-nuf, acceleration. Will 4 piston Willlwoods on front be enough whoa ?  Scope migration will be the enemy ! I shall begat the alum flywheel next,(Fidanza insert). Onward and Thanks, roverman.

Ok, so R154 is .753 in 5th, which makes the 4:10 diff. a 3.08.  26" tire, maybe 6,500 rpm. max power = fast enough ? Will Willwood 4 pots./front stop this thing, at 2,400 lbs., consistently ?  Onward, roverman.

Pardon me for asking but how many builds do you do a year? Seems like every time I turn around you're doing another one . Just curious. ps  They are always interesting.

Tim, I use this forum as a sounding board, in other words, perhaps my peers would help steer me in a more defined direction. I'm cursed with too many ideas and cars, but not enough time and energy.  Fortunately, with vitamins and better diet, my energy is up.  I need to use it wisely.  It's true I started "AC 6.1" and because of dreaded scope migration, it overwhelmed me. I have since regrouped to a simpler build, "Jensen Jackal".  This is a car I conceived of , before I got the Gen III Hemi bug.  Follow along when you have nothing better to do.  I just might make it happen.  Cheers, roverman.
