This was the Austin-Healey 100M involved in the catastrophic 1955 LeMans Disaster. It was rammed from behind by Pierre Levegh's works Mercedes-Benz 300SLR... The Mercedes flew up and into the crowd, killing 84 spectators.

After being repaired, the Healey set in storage for 42 years.

Today it sold at (Bonham's) auction for £843,000... that's roughly equal to $1,322,620!!!
