Hey Curtis, link is not working. That said, went over to the Race Car site. Fabulous story on the car!

Ooooops! Link fixed.

I understand that there were three particularly famous / successful Jaguar XK120 specials back in the day... and I've been lucky to track down two of them. If I can find and cover "The Pickering Special" I'll have them all.   Anybody ever heard of it? Where should I look?  I don't think it's raced in years.

Curtis,

Your article on Walt Hansgens' Jaguar Special should be picked up by Car and Driver.  It is an exceptional piece of SCCA history and should  become a piece of the sports car racing world of historical journalism.

keep on keeping them on the track,

Curtis,

On the Pickering Special search.

There was a Ray Pickering SCCA racer in Lawrence, Kansas years ago.  I think he had the BMC dealership and was big on Triumphs.

Are they one and the same ?

keep them on the track,
